TechBoss was tasked with designing and deploying a cloud-based CCTV system for a large storage facility. The project involved collaborating with a design partner to ensure that the solution met the facility's unique security needs while leveraging the latest in cloud technology for scalability, remote access, and secure storage.
The goal of this project was to provide the storage facility with 24/7 surveillance of its premises, leveraging cloud technology for remote viewing, data storage, and real-time alerts. TechBoss was responsible for the design, installation, and ongoing support of the system, ensuring that it was not only highly secure but also scalable and future-proof.
1. Initial Assessment & Planning
Before proceeding with the deployment, TechBoss and our design partner conducted a detailed assessment of the facility’s security needs, as well as an analysis of the physical layout and technical requirements.
Security Assessment: We worked closely with the storage facility’s security team to identify high-risk areas and determine the best camera placement for maximum coverage.

2. Cloud-Based CCTV Design & Solution Customization
TechBoss worked in close coordination with the design partner to select and customize the most effective cloud-based CCTV system that would provide robust monitoring and easy management. Key design features included:
Cloud Storage: We chose a secure, reliable cloud platform for storing footage, ensuring easy access and long-term data retention without the need for physical storage devices on-site.
High-Quality Cameras: A combination of high-definition and 4K cameras were selected for the project, providing clear, sharp images in both day and night conditions.
Motion Detection & Smart Alerts: The system included motion detection features, with automated alerts sent to the facility’s security team when motion was detected in certain high-risk areas.
Remote Access: Authorized personnel were provided with secure, real-time access to camera feeds from desktop and mobile applications, allowing them to monitor the facility from anywhere at any time.
Scalability: The cloud-based system was designed to be scalable, allowing the facility to add more cameras and expand storage as their security needs grew.
3. Equipment Selection & Procurement
TechBoss sourced high-quality CCTV cameras, cloud-based storage solutions, and networking equipment. Key components included:
High-Resolution Cameras: We selected cameras with a minimum resolution of 1080p (Full HD) for general areas, while 4K cameras were placed in critical zones requiring the highest image quality.
PoE Switches & Network Infrastructure: Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches were used for efficient cabling, reducing the need for additional power cables and simplifying installation.
Cloud Integration: We ensured that the selected cameras were compatible with the chosen cloud-based storage platform, which supported auto-uploading footage and secure data storage.
4. Installation & Deployment
With the design and equipment in place, the TechBoss team began the installation of the cloud-based CCTV system across the storage facility. The process involved:
Camera Installation: Cameras were installed at key points throughout the facility, such as entrances, loading docks, and high-traffic areas. We ensured proper positioning for optimal coverage and minimized blind spots.

5. Testing & Optimization
